Sol Spero immigrated with his brother Samuel immigrated to the US via Canada Abt 1905. Sol was the son of Colman and Sarah Spero of London England.ColmanSperoand his wife Sarah with their daughters Annie, Ray, Lillie, Rebecca and Jenny came directly to the US. Accompanying Colman Spero andhisfamilywasCatherine Staal, who had previously met Sol Spero in London England. The Spero family first resided in the cities of Everett MA andRevereMA. Onor about 1907, Sol Spero and his brother Samuel immigrated to the US and rejoined the Spero family. The family soon divided againwith partofthe familymoving to and residing in NY City, NY.
Sol Spero and Catherine Staal Spero married in 1909. and resided at 73 Pleasant Street Wakefield, Massachusetts. Sol and his brother Samuel openedasmallfurniturestore in the Town of Wakefield, which after a few years grew to be one of the largest furniture stores in the US at that time. Catherinediedin 1943after a long illness. Catherine was buried in Knights of Zaslav cemetery in Everett MA. After the death of Catherine Speroin 1943,Sol Sperolivedwith his daughter Madeline Spero Ruthfield at 3 Cedar Place in Wakefield Massachusetts for several years. Later he retiredand remarriedMiriamvan Hornand they resided in Miami FL. Sol Spero died in 1959 and was buried in MT Nebo Cemetery in FL. It is unknown whenMiriam van Horndied andwhere sheis buried.

Catherine Staal, the daughter of Joseph Levie staal and Elizabeth Fry, immigrated to the USA in 1907 accompanied by Colman Spero and his family. In1920shewas joined by her brother Michael and then later her sister Esther. After first living in Everett MA, Catherine Staal married Sol Spero. Theywereacquainted with each other in England prior to coming to this country. They married in 1909 and lived at 73 Plesant Street in Wakefield,Massachusetts.Catherineand Sol had two children: Frances Spero Zack born in 1910; and Madeline Spero Ruthfield biorn in 1913. Catherine died in1943 at age 63aftera longillness. She is buried in the Knights of Zaslav Cemetery in Everett MA.

After a long illness Frances died 28 November 1998. Frances was laidto restwithherlate husband Maurice in the Sharon Memorial park in Sharon MA. Frances was the mother of three sons 6 grandchildren and a greatgrand child.
