 Manuel Mendes De Crasto [I1137]Born ± 1583, died ± 1655, age approximately 72 years In the period 1613 - 1637 Manuels (15) name appears in about 47 deeds. He mainly traded to Malaga. He also dealt in bills of exchange. In 1615 hehadanaccountof one page with the Amsterdam Exchange Bank. In 1618 it appears that he had gotte n into difficulties. According to a deed of 1637Mendeshadbeen livingat the Leprozenburgwal in Amsterdam since 1631. From 1616 - 1637 he was a member of the community Neveh Shalom. He was a memberofthe Dotarsocietysince 1615. In the book s of the society he often appears as a debtor. He appears to have died in 1655 and his membership wastakenover byhis son Mordechayde Crasto. ("Studia Rosenthaliana" DS 135 N4S7 Volume 12, page 173 & Volume 8 page 306).
Married 1612, age approximately 29 years (married approximately 43 years) to:  Felipa "Ledisa Abeniacar" Pimentel [I1124], daughter of Garcia "Mordechai Abeniacar" Pimentel and Sara Lido "Sara Abeniacar & Leonora Gutteres" Lindez.("Studia Rosenthaliana" DS 135 N4S7 Volume 12, page 173). Children: 1.
